The SGV series of pinch valves are the ideal solution for slurry pumping as they are one of the few self-cleaning valves available. The rubber sleeve inside the valve body is simply an extension of the piping when the valve is in the open position and the only wear part. For slurry, it is best to use full-bore valves. Valves with a tortuous cbutterfly, gate and other valves, will wear prematurely when working with pulp.
